Meet the Team
Our team of contributors has and continues to put in hours upon hours of work to create this corner of the internet. Here’s a little bit about each of us.

Mōri Tsubakie/毛利 椿枝
Greetings, I’m Tsubakie, and I hail from the Far West, a Palantine Barony nominally part of the Kingdom of the West. This barony covers most of the areas in Asia covered by the SCA, and includes Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Guam, and some of the Philippines.
I’m a Japanese Persona, an Artisan, and a researcher for both Japanese Armory and Name registration. I also specialize in Japanese garmentry, focusing mainly on late-period garments, but I’m a dab hand at the rest of it, too. Feel free to ping me on Discord or Facebook, I’m active on both, and can be found in Choi Min’s Teahouse Server or the FB SCA Japanese group. I’d love to help you find the flavor of Japanese persona you want to have.

Oribe Tsukime/織部月女
Tsukime focuses on Muromachi-Momoyama period kosode and tsujigahana, growing her own natural dyes, and collecting patterns drafted from extant garments like a squirrel does nuts. Being somewhat distractable, she’s also experimented with hats, brooms, sandals, weaving, pottery, tea ceremony, woodworking, braiding, and whatever else sounded like too much fun to resist.
You can find her on Discord as Oribe Tsukime, on Facebook as Rosemary Tsukime, and at Pennsic in camp Tengusanji, Willow Point NA. She serves the Society for Creative Anachronism‘s Kingdom of Aethelmearc as a member of the Order of the Laurel.

yamanōchi eidō/山之内 栄堂
Eidō is an enthusiastic researcher of Japanese Art History with specialization in Momoyama Era paintings, Tsujigahana decorated clothing, and Calligraphy. He spent two years living in Japan speaking primarily Japanese, and has been able to leverage that linguistic and cultural experience in developing a deeper understanding of the arts of Japan from before the 17th century. Along with researching and making historically appropriate style Japanese clothing, Eidō studies historical monshō (heraldry) and works on translations of Japanese clothing patterns into English and SCA Awards into Japanese.
As far as the Society for Creative Anachronism, Yamanōchi no Daijirō Eidō (Senior Sixth Court Rank) lives in the Barony of Loch Salann (Salt Lake City, UT chapter) in the Kingdom of Artemisia, which covers the US states of Utah, Idaho, Montana, and part of Wyoming. He is available on Facebook through the SCA Japanese Group under the profile Aedo Sama.

Morikawa Rei/森川零
Rei focuses on katazome, the Japanese art of paste resist dyeing. When they’re not in the dyeshop, they’re probably at the pottery wheel or drinking tea and or sake. Outside of the material recreation of history, they enjoy reading classic Chinese and Japanese poetry and and growing Japanese dye plants and herbs in their garden.
In the Society of Creative Anachronism, Rei lives in the Barony Marche of the Debatable Lands, Kingdom of Aethelmearc. They camp with Yama Kaminari at Pennsic.
