Part of recreating a historical culture is learning about and attempting to recreate material culture. It would be a challenge to even list the sheer number of specialized arts and crafts that existed in historical Japan, let alone give justice to each of them with full explanations and instructions. However, as far as we are able, gathered here are several different art forms that we want to share. This page contains several sub-divisions that may change over time so we won’t list them here but they are shown below.
